  2. Asif says:

    Dear Faisal;

First of all I really appreciate your effort that you are up to. First thing that really admire me about your program is that you are bringing that issue for which our people feel pride for doing such thing.
Today I watched your program regarding traffic violations, I just want to share one basic point with you i.e. if someone will be driving according to rule other people just say “Oh! Look he doesn’t know how to drive a car”…

    Thanks and regards
Takecare and May Allah help you in your mission

You are going to be my voice from now.
your message will be delivered to others too through my mind onwards.
There have been many personalities who demanded blood for freedom, but you will have to demand just few minutes of their busy life to consider it.

    bro AOA,
I missed ur last show.i read above comments. So i beleive v all are making positie moves to make this country our home and after putting our promises under the light n had spoken big undigetable words, we wont give up n go back.Hey guys!do v ever think on our common social sences..do v ever stop when v c a person full of blood n had accident…v don’t…do v ever go to our neighbours with love n no complains, even once a week n say sub khariyat say hai na!…y v always raise fingers on those things in which v sud not interfere n neglect those which become socialy effected afterwords…. y v dont know how to safe ourselves with sex jocks messeges mania,v all young ppl r facing..v never delete them but v forword to another friend and that so called friend forword to other with few additions…do v call it fun?..Ok faisal bhai i really want u to do a prg on this topic…every 8 person out of 10 having this bemari specially our youth? R v sexusally frustated or mentally sick? waiting for ur answer that do u really hav medicine for this. Thanks

  13. Sadia Alam says:

I think it’s easier to accept one’s mistakes in writing than verbally in live show and hence the comments above. Atleast that’s an achievement. And yes one person can start making the difference because qatra qatra karke hi darya banta hai. And secondly all you need to create a ripple in water..is a tiny pebble:)

  14. Saif Antaria says:

    Salam All-

    The epsiode was absolutely wonderful-
    The calls were absolutely disappointing-
The comments above are absolutely heartwarming-

    FQ,
You seemed discouraged at the kind of calls you received, so was i, and i am sure thousands others too….i am simply wondering why the only calls that went through were the ones who are ignorant and still want to remain ignorant….i got disappointed too.

From what i read above….i see that there is a HOPE, a lot of hope and together we can do it….but, we must at the same time keep one thing in mind….ONE PERSON CAN ACTUALLY MAKE THE DIFFERENCE……1+1+1+1…..and so on…are we getting the picture ????

  15. Fahad says:

    Dear Faisal bhai,
wanna thank u for such a wonderful show. Definitely if every individual or even a maojority of us can ourselves then even for the proud rule breachers would also fear n would have to obey the law.
Going wrong way, changing lanes at will, driving fast n the furious way and then feelig pround on it ??? Why people r in such a hurry to die ? why . And when caught or in an accident, dont accepting their mistakes but always putting blame on the other. It has become norm of our society.
but, if we think deeply, does not its the same attitude followed by us in every single aspect of our life. We are taught verbally and by acts from our childhood to save ourselves, to be selfish, to care abt ourselves only and thats what we practice later on.
Well, coming back to traffic, i think 2-way strategy is needed to improve the situation.
    a) mass campaign to increase people awareness and the harm which they can suffer.
    b) improving the traffic police structure. Increasing quantity and quality of the traffic police. making use of the technology to cater rule breachers. Normal chalan system is of no use anymore, due to reason which every person who drives can understand. Inspite of that, hidden cameras should be installed to take snaps of culprits vehicles and then chalans should be sent to their homes. A separate force can be made to ARREST, yes arrest, people who donot chalans within the deadline.
Such radical steps are needed to improve the actual ground situation. And yes, we give examples of traffic systems of advanced european countries, but believe me its the strictness of the traffic laws that is working wonders over there. Otherwise, situation would have been the same as here. i m saying that as i have been there n have observed their traffic systems.
I know i have wrote too much n may b too much absurd. But if if it can help even a single person and change his/her mentality, i will be really happy.
Again, many thanks to you (Faisal) for such a wonderful effort.

  16. Zaid Rahman says:

    Sir…
We have to take this country ahead, we have to stand together to make a difference, we pakistanis have to be what we really were, we have to continue what Quaid-e-Azam tried to impliment and this can only be done if we change ourselves first rather than pointing fingers on others. Truly sir you are my voice. Allah bless you always. I pray to Allah that You never stop from what you are doing because i know that this is not an easy task, there would be many hurdles in your way and inshallah you and all of us will overcome them.
    Salute and Salam.

  17. najma akbar says:

    Dear Faisal,
I could see the frustration on your face and your body language spoke volumes about why on earth the people could not get a simple message through their heads.
Yes the phone calls were quite a surprise to me as well because the viewers kept on making every excuse possible and pointing fingers at others, but refused to understand that changing oneself is the only way to solve this problem. But right now as I read the comments above I thought ” Faisal Qureshi give yourself a pat on the back” you have managed to scratch the surface. God is with you.
Thumbs up son, and God bless.
    Mrs. Akbar

  18. Naushad Shafkat says:

Dear Mr. Faisal – Watched your show about traffic violations last night. Was one of the best by a long shot. You did what others just talk about – you made people accept that they are were wrong ! I have been through situations when the person driving the wrong side on a narrow lane wanted me to go back and give him the right of way – I refused and had to wait for about an hour before the other guy backed out and removed his car. Why are we so adamant even when we are wrong? And then we justify our actions by saying that we were going to offer our prayers ! Why can’t we just avoid doing the small wrong in the first place?
I think that when a person like you has taken up cudgels things are bound to improve. For the record NOT A SINGLE RELIGIOUS OR POLITICAL LEADER HAS EVER ASKED HIS FOLLOWERS TO OBEY THE TRAFFIC LAWS. How many lives could be saved by their just doing so?
May Allah bless you and yours. With you out there a time will come when we can truly say “PROUD TO BE A PAKISTANI”.

  19. shahed islam says:

    Dear Mr Faisal,
I came to this beautiful country at a time when people here used to cook in vanaspati ghee and seeing the ppl dying so young and ill i joined a multinational organization and introduced palm oil and canola oil to this country and brought in the change only i know what i had to go thru to change the eating habits of this beautifull country, i was young dashing and took up the challenge, i succeeded against all odds, it took me more than 4years to get it introduced right frm the oil mill to the lab to the ships in our ports with sample lots, finally when i got it accepted the first lot was sold by my competitor, what made me proud was the fact that i changed the eating habits of a grand nation like Pakistan.
Watching yr tv show i cried seeing the great way you were trying to put thru yr views wearing the cops uniform being on the road, let me assure you frm the bottom of my heart you are doing good its small an invisible right now but we all must take responsibilty for our wrong actions, just saying we are muslims is not enough, to be a good muslim we first have to be a good human being, it is young ppl like you now who can change Pakistan, no one treads where you have dared to tread, its like being a good parent..its the most unthankfull job in the world but that doesnt mean i shud not be a good father.
My tears seeing yr programme will definitely bring goodness cause i know goodness is so difficult to achieve, but the thought process u have started in ppl who watch yr programme, who blame everyone excepting themselves will take time but they will change..eventually.
You are a intelligent, good and very sensitive person who feels for others, who took the innitiative to change frm Dawn to Samaa, I thank Samaa for giving you the opportunity to make this very challenging show.
Please do not feel disheartened when u shud be feeling it, bless you, may the Almighty give you greater strength and will to bring all the challenges to the forefront.
With love and respect frm a humble/proud citizen.

  20. Nomi says:

    Wonderful show indeed.

Unfortunately, after watching and listening to my people on the show; the only person who seems to have gained something from this program is the owner of Papa Jones’s restaurant.

  22. Shujaat Hussain says:

    Dear faisal,

Just seen the recast of your program on sama channel accidentally , its 3:00 am in the morning and the electricity just got restored in Gulshan thanks to KESC :-) Was my first time i ever watched this channel and i really like your program

My friend my brother i really appreciate the hard work you have been doing in educating us all. Its really good to see that we have now started talking about the real issues rather than politics and the lawyers.

i guess you need to work on few programs which bring out our lost culture and traditions as nowadays what i can see everyone or most of us are following the Indian traditions. We are becoming more and more Hindustani and leaving ourselves without and identity.

We need to revive our history our culture. One suggestion would be to do a program on historic monuments in Karachi , i know they have turned into ruins now , no care nothing. But at least we can show the majestic past of this city.

Rest wish you best of luck !!!!

  23. saira says:

    aoa,
i saw ur show on repeat telecast,if i was watching it live i wud have called up u n wud have admitted my mistakes of my driving,i don’t violate traffic rules a lot but very rare i do it,i drive a lot in lhr n as u know the traffic of lhr but alhamdulillah i try my best not to disturb any other car around me on the rd,one basic rule my driver taught me is that every person on the rd is blind n u r the only person with eyes so plz don’t do any mistake n i m implementing this thing on my driving 4 the last 9 yrs n plz don’t b disappointed by the reaction of the callers, atleast i m happy 2 c a person like u on tv who is teaching us to face the reality n our mistakes so keep it up.good job!

  24. Tariq Ahmad Jan says:

    Respected Faisal Bhai, AOA

I have no words to say on such attitude. I am ashame of my self. Though I am trying my best to obey not only traffice rules but all the other rules and regulations also but sometimes I also break the law on which I feel ashame of myself.

Today I listened a lady’s call in which she said what a single person can do? Sorry I don’t agree with her. Today I want to share my own bad habbitual act with you. Please read it and don’t laugh or throw it into the dustbin.

Before marriage, I had a very bad habit and that was I always threw waste things or products out of my car’s window. But after marriage, my wife totally change my this habit. Now Alhamd o Lillah I never repeat this act again and now my kids also learnt that don’t throw any thing out of car’s window. I just want to say that now there are five people who are not throwing any thing out of the car’s window. Inshallah one day will come when majority will hate this act and keep their city clean.

I gave you only one example. There are so many mistakes which we can change ourselves positively.

    Thanx

  25. Dr S Farhan Amjed says:

i just want to admit that my driving licence is expired since couple of years and i also carry my daughter in my car without any safety precautions which is against the law. After seeing your programe today i promise to u and myself that i will renew my licence and also buy a car seat for my daughter as earliest as possible.
i apologise for both of my acts.
thanks for ur kind effort which makes us realize that wrong is always wrong and cant be justified.

  26. Shams says:

Thanx a lot Mr Faisal for the excellent show on traffic. We have been watching these violations, as you showed, on roads and the pitty is that people do not consider it as a crime or even a misdeed.
    You are really our voice.

  27. kamran says:

yes you are right, we become habbitual to break the laws,
and i realy see to emabarce that we educated people behave like this, so what will illeterate do.
and i’m trying to make my habbit change. thanks to awake us.
